How to Achieve a Black Belt in Karate

Okinawan Traditional Karate

Decide to become a student and choose a teacher:

The Sensei is the teaching title used to instruct.
A sensei is " one who has gone before" a person of experience.
The student "Deshi" is committed to train by attending class and set goals to achieve steps or "kyus" which may be represented by color belts worn over a White Karate-Gi Uniform.
Japanese language is used in class and proper courtesy is required to show respect. The mind is taught first then the body then the spirit..However you learn karate from the process of Shin (spirit) Gi ( technique) Tai (body) via kihon ( basics) and Kata ( form)
This method works over time and continous effort.
......Physical talent helps but is not eccential
You must " Want To Learn" It is Hard Work. Training

Do you trust the teacher ?
That is not so easy to answer !

The best teachers are about having you learn from mistakes and hardships. Not the usual way of learning and extremely difficult for a "westerner" to understand.
Become in touch with the soul of karate.
It is what is inside that makes you what you are.
